One interesting thing that stuck with me was Speck - I tasted that in Merano (Northen Italy, very close to the Swiss border). I was only able to find that in that region - maybe because of its German heritage?

The other thing that stuck with me was the fact that you could find a similar display at Autogrill (equivalent to Rest Stops in USA).
