Slow Food Nation Is This Weekend!!
If you’re local to the Bay Area, you MUST know about the Slow Food Fest coming to town this weekend. In a celebration of food that is fair, clean, affordable and, well, good!, San Francisco will become a crossroad of thought leaders in the food field, of wonderful artisans, and of foodies from all over the world!
While Slow Food Nation will not feature any Italian food, it goes without saying that it embodies the very principle of Italian culinary culture: slow eating, slow consuming, local procurement and conviviality. In a nutshell, everything that is great about Italian food- minus the food itself!
As you might know, I am a staff member of the Slow Food Nation team. I will be Twittering live from the event and I will be volunteering to get things done in the next few days. As such, updates about my Italian outings in the Bay Area will be postponed to next week. Meanwhile, if you’re interested in learning about what I am doing at the event, you can sign up to follow Slow food Nation’s updates at http://twitter.com/slowfoodnation.
I will be attending the Food for Thought series all day Friday, and will be at the Taste Pavilion on Sunday afternoon. If you see me around, please come and say hi!
So, go Slow this weekend…
