La Biscotteria Redwood City- Updated

I have talked about Angela, Agostino and their fabulous Biscotteria before. As they are expanding their product line (without compromising the quality!), they deserve another go- particularly because they have added a hard-to-find product: sfogliatelle!

Sfogliatelle are shell-shaped wonderful treats filled with a mixture of ricotta, sugar and a candied fruit, made of thousands of layers or crispy pastry. Finding sfogliatelle got me truly excited: in Italy they are rare outside the area of Napoli, and even rarer is to find good ones! La Biscotteria’s sfogliatella melted in my mouth, as they are made to order on Saturdays only. Delicious!
